- Checking the appropriate handling during loading and unloading operations.
- Checking the general cleanliness of the means of transport such as the hold, the container, the railway wagon, or the deck.
- Checking the stowing, fastening, and wedging on the means of transport, and for proper protection against the natural elements.
- Checking of loading documents.
